Don Winslow of the Navy #40

Don Winslow is assigned to deliver a package of sulfanilamide, a powerful new drug, to Commander King stationed on Nowaki Island, while preventing it from falling into Japanese hands. When Winslow's transport is attacked and he goes missing, Red King and Admiral Colby launch a search for him at his home, discovering gasoline smell and signs of a possible kidnapping. The investigation reveals a connection to the Acme Gasoline Company, leading the Navy to suspect someone from Winslow's past may be involved in his disappearance.
