Don Winslow of the Navy #8

Don Winslow, an ace trouble-shooter, is assigned with his partner Red to an unusual branch of the Marines service in South America, where they face an adversary called "Murder" who stalks the jungle. The story follows Don and Red as they work with Sea Scouts and navigate military operations, including efforts to load an American cruiser and reach troops in China. On the third day near the China coast, their vessel faces Japanese destroyers in combat.
