"The Taming of Priscilla" follows the haughty Priscilla MacRae Vanderkook, a spoiled New York debutante who decides to join Major Frank Topping on a big-game hunting expedition in Africa after hearing his thrilling safari tales, much to her mother's distress. In the "Dorothy Lamour" jungle princess story, Dorothy battles a panther king and confronts a villainous sorcerer named Kari who has hypnotized the jungle chief Tura and plans to turn the princess into his slave, while she works to free Tura from the evil spell and save the village. The issue also includes "Bwaani Adventures," though details of that story are not visible in the sampled pages.
