Durango Kid #16

White Indian Dan Brand and Tipi face off against the underworld of the wilderness when they must confront Blackleg and his forest brigands who have stolen a money chest meant for General Washington's army. As Dan and Tipi pursue the thieves through the forest, they encounter a lightning storm that forces them to navigate a fallen tree and escape from Blackleg's men. In a climactic confrontation, Dan persuades Blackleg's own men to abandon their leader and turn against him by appealing to their patriotic duty, ultimately preventing the brigands from escaping with the army's funds.
