Durango Kid #36

The Durango Kid faces certain death when enemies pursue him with a strongbox of gold on the stage trail. A young boy named Matt seeks revenge against a masked badman who cruelly scratched the stolen nuggets onto a money belt, an act that sparked the boy's hatred and drove him to become a skilled gunman and rider. When Major Hawkins orders Lightning, the Durango Kid's horse, to be tied to a tree and left alone on a backwoods road, the loyal horse breaks free and helps the Kid escape his captors, ultimately turning the tables on his adversaries.
