The Durango Kid must recover stolen water rights during a drought on the prairie. When the Durango Kid and his sidekick Jeb Hanover pursue cattle rustlers across dangerous terrain, they become caught up in a conflict over a precious water supply. After evading both soldiers and outlaws, the Durango Kid tracks the criminals to a town where a sheriff is murdered, and he must prove his innocence while exposing the real killers responsible for the crime.
