A second story, told in flashback, involves a man who murders his wife Helen for her life insurance money by taking her to a movie, but is haunted by supernatural forces and eventually caught by police, though the supernatural element suggests he may have been cursed for his crime. The issue concludes with a tale of a police officer who encounters a mysterious being bearing "the mark of Grahku," a supernatural curse passed down through generations that compels the marked individual to kill, and learns the only way to break the curse is to send the cursed person back into darkness before they strike again.
