Egbert #12

Egbert attempts to help a French magician and his partner perform a stage act at a theatre, but becomes entangled in the magician's increasingly chaotic illusions, including a woman-sawing act. Later, Egbert encounters Guppy and helps him construct a house, but their building efforts are hindered by lack of materials and other obstacles. Throughout the issue, Egbert's well-intentioned assistance repeatedly backfires, leading to slapstick mishaps and comic misunderstandings with the various characters he encounters.
