Elsie the Cow Comics #1

Elsie the Cow reads a newspaper and encounters a riddle contest with a prize of a television set. She devises a trick question submitted under Longhorn's name to win the contest, but the scheme backfires when Elmer, a character in an angel costume, goes missing and becomes the focus of a chaotic search involving pirates, cavemen, and various costumed characters at what appears to be a masquerade. The story concludes with Elmer found safe and the family dealing with a domestic mishap involving Professor Sleepwell and a lost husband, ultimately resolved when Elmer turns up in the attic after a night of disrupted sleep on a new mattress.
