Escape from Devil's Island #1

A group of convicts escape from a French penal colony in the Caribbean, but are quickly trapped by indigenous inhabitants who demand they reveal information about their leader or face execution. After being dragged to a Carib camp, the escapees learn they are being held to extract valuable information, and one prisoner devises a plan involving an iron bar to reach and kill the man who betrayed him—an inmate named Michaud who works in the prison hospital. As the convicts plot their revenge during their captivity, they prepare to make a desperate move against their captors.
