"Rejected Proposal" follows Susan, who asks Randy to marry her, but he refuses because he is in love with someone back home and must return to him. After Randy leaves, Susan reconnects with Jim, who reveals that Randy had told him Susan was the one Randy truly loved, causing Jim and Susan to realize they are right for each other and reunite. In the second story, "A Long Engagement," a woman named Betty becomes engaged to a man named Hal after a long courtship, but on their wedding day she realizes she has been so focused on the engagement that she never truly got to know Hal, leading her to reconsider her feelings for him.
