Exploits of Daniel Boone #6

Daniel Boone discovers that renegades have infiltrated Boonesborough, planning to sell the settlement's supplies to the Indians. After receiving a ransom note threatening hostages held in the forest, Boone refuses to pay and instead tracks the renegades to a cave system. Boone encounters a Shawnee chief named He-Who-Smiles, who initially opposes the settlers but eventually agrees to help stop the renegades from starting a war between the colonists and tribes. In the climactic confrontation, colonial militia face off against the Shawnee to prevent Yellow Snake and his warriors from attacking the settlement.
