This anthology issue contains three fairy tale adaptations. "Beauty and the Beast" follows a wealthy man's daughter who agrees to marry a beast to save her father's life after he loses his ship; she discovers the beast's true nature through kindness. "The Gingerbread Boy" depicts an elderly couple who bake a magical gingerbread boy that comes to life and runs away. "The Frog King" tells of a princess who loses her golden ball in a well and, with help from a frog, recovers it, ultimately breaking the frog's curse and gaining him as a companion.
