"Famous Crimes" recounts the story of a criminal named Basil who steals a laundry truck to evade police roadblocks, only to be apprehended, and follows with the tale of Monk Eastman, a notorious gangster from 1901 New York who coerces votes through intimidation and violence before facing justice.
