This anthology issue contains three stories: "The Thinking Machine," in which a narrator visits Professor Philo's strange house on an island and encounters a thinking machine with a crystalline rhythm that comes to life; "Brant Craig," featuring the fast-talking private detective investigating a murder at Saturn's Grellama Derby sporting event, where he and his date Twinkle Starr become entangled in "The Case of the Racing Grellama"; and a third untitled story about a boy who encounters a mysterious creature near ice cliffs and later persuades his reluctant mother to visit the location, though she warns him of something peculiar about the area.
