This anthology issue contains at least two stories: "The Witches Come at Midnight," in which farmer Ezra Rainey and his family are terrorized by witches and supernatural forces until Peter, an intelligent boy with magical knowledge, uses the magic word "Gazan!" to break the witch doctor's spell and free them; and a jungle adventure featuring Captain Death, who is captured by natives, subjected to a witch doctor's curse, falls into a mystical sleep where he relives past atrocities, and is ultimately freed from his bonds by the witch doctor. The issue also includes an advertisement for International Correspondence Schools offering vocational training courses.
