Fearless Davy Crockett #12

The issue features two main stories. "Black Fox" follows an Indian scout who comes to the aid of Davy Crockett and two companions, helping them escape from enemies and guiding them back to their settlement, with the trail of Black Fox ultimately ending in peace. The second story depicts a scouting trip where a chief convinces his council to allow young scouts to ride fast and hard to investigate why game has vanished from their hunting grounds; the scouts discover Gordon and his men shooting at game herds to drive them away, leading to a confrontation at Buffalo Gorge where the truth is revealed and a truce is brokered between Davy and the Indian leader.
