"Lady Killer" tells the story of Victor Raymond, a chronic gambler and womanizer drowning in debt, who seeks financial help from his elderly Aunt Agatha. When she refuses to bail him out again, warning this is her last check, Victor becomes desperate. He subsequently meets the beautiful Margo Sutton at a nightclub through acquaintance Mark Lowell, and Victor's scheme becomes clear: he intends to marry Margo for her money to solve his financial troubles. However, when Margo reveals she is already married to another man, Victor's plan collapses, leaving him to face his creditors without the windfall he had counted on.
