Fight Against Crime #8 This anthology issue contains multiple crime stories. One story follows Stan Beach, a man who participates in a mob robbery and escape attempt, ultimately leading to a gun battle with police and his capture. Another story features Dave, who becomes involved with criminals at a diner and is drawn into their scheme before police intervention ends the situation. A third story involves Pop, an infamous arsonist and ex-convict hiding in the Monarch Hotel's basement, who is discovered by Lieutenant Manheim during a police search for a wounded hood; Pop's attempt to use the hotel's spare furnace as an alibi fails when police determine the furnace wasn't lit, leading to his arrest.
