A logging camp story depicts workers including one named Kirby dealing with a scheming cook and a shaft accident involving logs. A third story involves a criminal named Shark Brodie, who is apprehended on a boat after being involved in torture and kidnapping; he reveals the location of his prisoner before being returned to authorities.
