Fightin' Air Force #22
This issue is an anthology containing three military aviation stories. "Yesterday's Hero" depicts a formerly proud German Luftwaffe pilot reduced to an ineffectual shadow of his former self. "The World Conqueror" recounts the exploits of Hans Brighter, a Nazi fighter ace credited with multiple kills who was shot down in May 1942. "The Arctic Patrol" follows a military and civilian task force working in Arctic fog to construct a concealed radar and ground-to-air missile base, with one officer's account of how he came to be stationed there in August 1943 after an incident involving forgotten duty and bootleg supplies.
