Fightin' Air Force #26

"Mission 50" follows a Tinian-based B-29 bomber crew flying a dangerous 3,000-mile mission over enemy territory from Hamburg, Germany. After becoming separated from their group and suffering engine damage and heavy casualties from anti-aircraft fire, the crew faces a desperate struggle to survive and return home. Major Kent pursues the damaged enemy bomber relentlessly, ultimately forcing it down, and the crew must bail out and explain their harrowing ordeal to command.
