Fightin' Army #16

The issue contains two war stories. In the first, a B-29 bomber crew crashes behind enemy lines during the Korean War and must navigate through territory controlled by North Korean and Chinese Red forces; using a navigator's alnico magnet to deflect a Communist commander's compass, the crew manages to lead their captors south toward UN lines and ultimately escapes. In the second story, American soldiers encounter a giant enemy idol that the Reds have been using to pinpoint their barrage positions effectively, and the soldiers work to understand and counter this tactical advantage.
