Fightin' Five #29

The Fightin' 5 faces two major threats in this issue. In the main story "The Eyes of Death," the team confronts an enemy leader named Lev who commands an Aztec cult and wields destructive eye-based weapons; when the Fightin' 5 refuses to be sacrificed, Lev threatens to fire missiles that will kill almost everyone on Earth except himself. A backup story titled "They Made a Man" chronicles how street orphan Billy Cleeve was recruited by the Army, trained into an elite soldier, and deployed to fight in Vietnam near the Viet Cong-controlled Junction area.
