This issue contains three separate stories. "Canteen Kate" follows a woman auditioning for a show who is directed to perform for troops. "Leatherneck Jack" features Marines on a military mission discussing their predicament and romantic prospects. "Tripoli Shores" depicts Marines on horseback in combat, with soldiers attempting to reach company headquarters while under enemy fire and discussing their escape route through difficult terrain.
