An anthology of Korean War-era Marine stories featuring "Guerrillas Die at Dawn," in which a Marine private, having earned the hatred of Communist guerrilla leader Jefe Lopez during his service, rejoins his unit to pursue Lopez through the Philippine jungles and ultimately defeats him. Additional stories include "Canteen Kate" (featuring a tailor maid), "Leatherneck Jack" (a tale of nerves), and "Tripoli Shores" (a detour to destruction), each depicting various combat scenarios and Marine adventures.
