An anthology issue featuring two war stories. "Death Camp" follows a Marine who was captured in Manila and held in a Japanese death camp; he escapes and makes a deal with an Arab named Ali to help locate a secret underground water source in the African desert that proves crucial to an Allied desert campaign, eventually reconnecting with Ali years later in Switzerland. The second story depicts Marines conducting a rescue operation of a trapped platoon, calling in Air Force support with P-38 fighters to strafe Japanese positions and provide cover while the men make their escape.
