"Welcome Back!" tells of a lone Marine, Tex Ludlon, who is left behind on an island occupied by 500 Japanese soldiers when his unit is forced to evacuate under heavy enemy fire. When a rescue operation volunteers to retrieve him, Ludlon must help guide the Marines through the burning island while Japanese forces close in, racing against explosives set to detonate in forty seconds. The issue also includes an educational feature titled "Marine Movements" detailing tactics for operations against guerrilla forces, covering harassment operations, reaction forces, and containment strategies.
