Fightin' Navy #90
"The Helmet" depicts a World War II battle in which a new type of military helmet proves its worth by constantly protecting its wearer in danger zones and never failing him. A German spy in Norfolk transmits a hidden radio message to a U-boat with coordinates for an American convoy, prompting military planners to devise a plan involving duplicated Nazi invasion plans and a courier delivery, with twelve knots stationed behind the convoy to intercept the U-boat when it turns north off the coast. The American forces execute a calculated risk to reach the designated point within twenty-two minutes, successfully positioning themselves at the head of the canal to intercept the German forces and their outfit.
