Firebrand, the millionaire society scion Rod Reilly whose true identity is known only to ex-prizefighter Slugger, battles Nazi spies and criminals threatening the nation. When Slugger is captured and a doctor hired by the Nazis attempts to extract Firebrand's secret identity through torture at a guardhouse, Firebrand arrives to rescue his friend and eliminate the Nazi threat. The story culminates in a New Year's Eve brawl where Firebrand confronts Nazi operatives in the city, with police ultimately breaking up the battle and apprehending the enemy agents.
