Firehair #11
Firehair confronts renegade warriors who have captured pueblo residents and are forcing them to burn captives on a sacrificial platform; she disrupts their plans by gathering wood for the altar, seizing the opportunity to escape. A secondary story, "The Overland Stage," chronicles the famous Butterfield mail route that operated between San Francisco and the East, detailing its history from 1858 to 1881 and the brave drivers who faced bandits and outlaws along the arduous 2,800-mile trail. In a third adventure, Firehair becomes trapped in a cave with Pete, a companion, where they must evade capture by enemies pursuing them through treacherous terrain and ultimately make their escape.
