This anthology issue contains multiple stories: "Kangy the Bush Boy" follows a boy who has escaped from a circus and stowed away on a train, then must rescue his escaped animal companion Karoo from a cage at a circus outside the city. "Tubby the Great" depicts a schoolmaster's harsh treatment of an overweight boy named Tubby, who dreams of becoming a great actor like Hampton Williams and eventually stands up to his tormentor. Additional stories include "Little Chief: Done a Bunk," "Prince Long: The Exploring," "Dopey," and "Blank and Blot," along with informational features on British Railways and "Fatty Batty the Bouncing Boy."
