Flyin' Jenny #1

Jenny and Timber discover their plane on an island lake, but find it damaged by a freak storm and occupied by refugee Germans. Jenny must swim out to the plane while Timber distracts the Germans with gunfire, and she manages to escape in the aircraft despite being shot at. After a harrowing takeoff, Jenny and Timber successfully flee the island as the Germans realize they've been outsmarted by the American girl pilot.
