Frank Merriwell at Yale #1

During his first week at Yale, Frank Merriwell endures a hazing "masquerade party" where upperclassmen bind and gag him along with other freshmen. After escaping, Frank encounters a mysterious figure who rescues him from a fire on a train platform and steals important papers from him. Frank later discovers the thief is connected to rival student Freddy, who challenges him to prove himself by fighting the professional lightweight boxer Slugger MacFee, intending to humiliate Frank in front of the college.
