Freckles #7

In "Freckles and His Friends," Miss Klenk accuses Thackeray of cheating on an examination by claiming he wrote the correct answers on the blackboard after covering it with a roller shade, but Thackeray denies the charge. Later, a boy becomes distracted by romantic thoughts and daydreams about a girl named June while his car gets stuck in a river bed and his band's music arrangement is lost. Hilda Grubble, torn between two emotions regarding Freckles and another suitor, expresses her affection for Freckles during an election campaign gala that culminates in a nighttime car journey where Freckles and a girl named June plan to attend a dance together.
