Freddy #17 Freddy attempts to prank a hard-of-hearing man by loudly discussing a "wonderful book," but the man believes Freddy is fighting with someone and calls the police, resulting in both being arrested for disturbing the peace. After their release, Freddy recalls a button that controls a mechanical robot and attempts to use it to scare the man by operating the robot with a remote control device. When the robot malfunctions, causing a whirring sound, the man mistakes it for a mechanical device cutting grass and orders Freddy to stop it. Finally, Freddy tries to serve the man a glass of water as part of his scheme, but accidentally spills it on the man's important papers, infuriating him and ending Freddy's pranking attempts.
