This issue contains three war stories: "Breakthrough Inferno," in which soldiers assault an enemy stronghold and face heavy gunfire while an iron door separates them from the control room until they manage to breach it; "Hand Grenade Hero," featuring a soldier who has been blinded since a shell-off at Mortar Hill but continues to fight and provide directions to his unit despite his condition; and "Bomb Squad," depicting an ex-cop and ex-gangster who clash during combat, with one revealing he was changed by war and seeking redemption, before they are knocked unconscious by an explosion and one discovers the other's dog tag, learning his enemy's identity too late.
