G.I. Combat #35 is an anthology featuring four war stories. "Airlift to Eternity" follows soldiers who must open drain cocks on a downed aircraft and run for the woods while avoiding enemy fire, ultimately escaping as aviation gasoline detonates. "Red Terror Tactics" depicts a confrontation between American forces and an enemy colonel who reveals a radar-guided missile scheme intended to shoot down American jet bombers, though the plot is thwarted when the colonel's own detonating shell kills him during combat. "Bomb Squad" shows soldiers armed with detonating equipment neutralizing an enemy shell on a tank, successfully defusing the threat amid heavy fire. "Doom Patrol" depicts soldiers on a dangerous reconnaissance mission where one man is injured but the unit completes their advance, with the final panel noting they accomplished more than expected despite casualties.
