G.I. Jane #5
G.I. Jane, a female soldier, spends an evening with an admiral who thanks her for drying out his uniform, then says goodnight and leaves to board a plane. Back at the barracks, Jane is confronted by fellow soldiers about her time with the admiral, leading to a conversation about military regulations and fraternization rules. A woman named Carla is introduced to Jane, and when Jane threatens to report Carla for improper conduct if she sees her in shorts and a bra around the office, Carla becomes defensive and argumentative. The issue concludes with a text story in which soldiers debate the merits of Private Jill Jones, with one soldier eventually declaring his romantic interest in her.
