A soldier named Benny receives a letter from his father written eight years prior, revealing that his parents were killed in a plane crash in the Rockies two years ago. Meatball, a fellow soldier, discovers the letter and becomes obsessed with finding Benny's father, leading the group on a search through the hills where they encounter a sacred lama and Buddhist monks who initially mistake Meatball for a reincarnation. After an extensive search yields no results, Meatball finally locates Benny's father alive in a remote location, resulting in an emotional reunion between father and son.
