This issue contains at least two stories. "The General's Nightmare—They Always Come Back" depicts a general who is haunted by the specter of a soldier he believes he ordered to his death, only to learn the man survived and was following orders, ultimately teaching the general an important lesson about duty and responsibility. "G.I. Joe in 'The Lieutenant's Girl'" follows soldier Joe as he reunites with Mrs. Greg Lawson, a woman he has been trying to locate, and must confront complicated emotions when he discovers she is the wife of Lieutenant Lawson, testing his loyalty and sense of duty.
