G.I. Joe #32 (June 1954) The issue features a story in which soldiers discover that Private Rogers is being sent to replace Marvin, a fellow soldier who has become unpopular with the unit. When the men learn Marvin will be temporarily leaving, they scheme to prevent Rogers from taking his bunk, but their efforts to keep Rogers out of the barracks fail. The story culminates in a confrontation between Marvin and Rogers at night, where tensions flare over the bunk assignment and Marvin ultimately tells Rogers to stay away and keep the bunk, walking out on the situation.
