G.I. Joe #9

This issue contains two stories. "Joe Meets Lilith the Tigress" features G.I. Joe encountering a female adversary in combat. "Buddies: Grumpy's Sweetheart" follows Sergeant Grumpy Grogan, the most unpopular man in Korea, as he and his unit fight to eliminate a Red machine gun nest in South Korea, with the narrative touching on his inability to receive letters from home due to having no family. A third story, "War With a Pen in 'Dear John,'" appears to involve military personnel dealing with correspondence. The issue also includes comedic military training sequences focused on physical fitness tests and medical examinations.
