In "The Listening Looter," young Falcon participates in a canoe race where someone sabotages the other competitors by starting a forest fire on a hillside, forcing Falcon to escape to snowy higher ground. Gabby Hayes becomes suspicious of a scheme involving big ears that can hear everything, discovering that Sheriff Slim Daggle is using this ability to eavesdrop on a bank robbery plan, and Gabby must stop the criminals before they can execute their heist.
