Gene Autry Comics #25

Gene Autry battles an assassin who throws a knife through a window at his home, narrowly missing his daughter Cissy. Gene tracks the would-be killer into the desert, where he discovers the attack was orchestrated by a criminal boss named Thunder who seeks revenge. After a confrontation and gunfire in the hills, Gene defeats Thunder's plot and returns home victorious. The issue also features a separate story titled "The Pearls of Loretta," in which an old prospector recounts his past treasure-hunting adventures in California and Mexico to a group of youngsters around a campfire.
