Ghostly Tales #60

An anthology issue featuring at least two supernatural stories. The first story concerns a man who obtained a magical scepter promised to grant wishes for wealth, life, and death; a week later, his son brings the scepter home, and the man's sudden rage at this causes him to throw it away, only to be confronted by the consequences of his earlier wishes. The second story, titled "From the Haunted House," involves a grandfather who retrieves a metal box from a burning building despite warnings, clutching it even as it burns his hands; the box is revealed to contain something mysterious that causes the grandfather great distress, with the narrative suggesting fear as its ultimate theme.
