A man working at a flower shop becomes increasingly jealous watching his coworker Linda receive attention from male customers. When the shop's owner Mr. Bixby summons him to the office, he's fired for his poor attitude and inability to focus. Desperate and heartbroken after Linda rejects his advances, the protagonist encounters Ted at a train station, who reveals he too loves Linda and is leaving town for good. The two men's conversation leads to a chance meeting where the protagonist finally reconnects with Linda at the station, and they reconcile with plans to marry, giving him a second chance at love.
