"Standin' Boyfriend" follows a young woman named Debbie whose father disapproves of her boyfriend Bill. When Bill's friend Coach Devin calls to say Bill is away on vacation, Debbie begins spending time with the coach instead, confusing her feelings between the two men. After Bill returns and proposes marriage, Debbie initially accuses him of cheating but eventually realizes her mistake; the issue concludes with Bill and Debbie reconciling as they plan their wedding. The issue also includes a "Pin-Up Pete" feature showcasing illustrations of pin-up girls for servicemen, presented by a Marine Corps character.
