This anthology issue contains four Western stories: "Straight Arrow," "Calico Kid," "Red Hawk," and "Durango Kid." The "Red Hawk" story shown depicts a tale from the Cheyenne people in which a magical bow capable of bending itself was used to protect the tribe from buffalo stampedes and enemy threats, with the narrative explaining how any warrior who attempted to bend the bow and failed would become enslaved. The other stories feature various Western adventures involving frontier lawmen and gunfights, with the "Calico Kid" sequence showing confrontations with villains and the "Durango Kid" section depicting cavalry action near San Canyon.
