"Straight Arrow" follows a frontier narrative in which Jim Carter risks his life in dangerous locations, prompting investigation into his motives. A Cheyenne warrior encounters a bear attack while protecting his tribe and makes a blood oath with the animal, swearing never to harm it in gratitude for sparing the Cheyenne's life. Two nights later, multiple riders gallop toward the Cheyenne camp on horseback. The issue also includes a mail-order advertisement section promoting novelty toys and tricks.
